Ministerial Meetings & Communiques

The Horn of Africa Ministerial Group is the highest echelon in the Structure of the Initiative. The Ministerial Group, made up of Ministers of Finance of the participating countries meets quarterly to discuss strategic and related matters pertaining to the HoA countries. The key meetings are also attended by Development Partners and key stakeholders. At the end of the meetings, the Ministerial Group releases a Communique which spells out the strategic direction and impetus for the HoAI.

The Ministerial Group is chaired on a rotational principle. Kenya has recently completed its tenure as the Chair of the Ministerial Group, handing over to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. Enclosed are the respective Ministerial Communiques in chronological order for your attention.
